What is Face Yoga

Face Yoga is a natural, non-invasive practice combining facial exercises, facial massage, acupressure and mindfulness, to rejuvenate your appearance and enhance well-being. By toning and strengthening facial muscles, it reduces wrinkles, lifts sagging areas, and improves skin elasticity, leaving you with a radiant, youthful glow.

More than a beauty routine, Face Yoga helps you reconnect with your face, embrace ageing gracefully, and build confidence. With exercises that fit seamlessly into your day—at work, home, or on the go—it’s an empowering, accessible way to care for yourself naturally. Discover the transformative power of Face Yoga today.

My first student has made such good progress in these before and after photos. You can see reduced 11 lines, reduced hooding of the eyes and lines next to the eyes and neck lines reduced. Great results in such a short period of time!

Here is my two-year anniversary photo since starting my own self care practice of face yoga.
I didn't take profile pictures at the time as I was horrified to see what I looked like at the time.
There are a lot of changes in my face, but my confidence is what has changed the most.

FAQs About Face Yoga

When should I practice Face Yoga?
Face yoga requires consistency for results, so it is important to practice every day, ideally in the morning and before bed. However, you can practice face yoga at various times and places, such as while you are in the shower, in the bathroom, lying in bed, driving, or working at the computer, to name just a few.

How long does it take to get results?
Depending on the area of the face being worked on, some people can see a change straight away. However, consistency is key to those results enduring and changing the habits that cause or contribute to the issue. Many people see results over a few weeks, and these results can continue to improve as time goes on.

Results can be hard to see, so it is best to take before and after photos to track the changes in yourself. With consistent practice, friends who haven’t seen you in a while will most likely notice the changes and ask you, “what have you been doing?”

Do I have to do 40 minutes every day?
No, you do not have to practice for 40 minutes every day. Fitting in just five minutes on the specific areas you want to work on will yield great results. If you can manage to do two or three sessions of five minutes each day, you will be doing great. Face yoga becomes a habit, but a good one! If you miss a day, you may feel like something is missing in your life.

Why is it hard to move my muscles?

If you have never worked your facial muscles like this before, it can take time for them to get the message of what you want them to do. Be patient and continue practicing—don't give up! With time, your muscles will adapt and become more responsive.

Do I have to always practice face yoga to keep my results?
Yes, just like normal yoga or other body exercises, you require consistent practice to ensure the muscles continue to work in the way you want them to. Once you have learned how to carry out the poses correctly, you will find you can do them anytime and anywhere.

Why are changes no longer obvious like they were at the start?
Over time, your muscles become toned and will retain that tone with regular practice. As you gain experience, you can hold poses longer and perform more advanced poses. While changes may not be as noticeable as they were at the beginning, the continued practice will help maintain muscle tone and overall facial health. Even after years of Face Yoga, Face yogis still can see positive changes occurring in their faces, even though they may be subtle.

Why do I need to drink lots of water?
Water helps flush the toxins from your body and your skin. This improves your circulation and, of course, keeps your body hydrated. Drinking warm or hot water in the morning and evening (or throughout the day as I do) slowly and not quickly, allows for constant hydration. This has a significant impact on how your skin looks and feels. Think of hot water as a dishwasher rinse for your body.

What if I have injuries or pain while practicing some poses?
You know your body best. If you have pain you may need to alter how you are doing the pose or do less repetitions. You may also want to lie down while doing some poses to allow you to relax more effectively while carrying out the pose. Tight muscles while practicing will not give you the results you want. If pain persists, stop the pose and seek a medical opinion.
